Camtasia isnt Premier Pro or Final Cut - it's supposed to be a slim and efficient editor. Im sorry but thats the most insane thing I've ever heard. I got one response on the message boards to "install 64 gigabytes of memory" to resolve my issues. OH! It's in the wrong spot because of lag!

I cant work and get anything done with it constantly THINKING. Playing around with Cam 2021 today even with the proxy vids in place and its just a laggy mess. The product that barely works is now on sale. I cant get any tech support to get back to me. 2021 is still running horribly slow - and I see now that the upgrade is on sale for $69.99 I go on the techsmith website to ask for support. Have I missed a feature somewhere or have I nailed it on Snagit?Īny advice MUCH appreciated for the upgrade. I find usually that its far quicker for me to use windows Snipping Tool to do the silly things I need to do in my workflow. I want to upgrade NOW - but could suffer with Camtasia 2019 until AFTER 2022 comes out and then hopefully get the 2023 upgrade free as well - but I'm worried that the price will go up - or that they wont include the 2023 free upgrade if I try to slide into 2022 straight off the bat.Īnybody have any experience with their upgrades? I'd hate to miss out on the price or the free 2022 and then pay MORE for 2022 w a 2023 upgrade.Īlso - one INSANE thing I was curious about that as of late has had me irritated to no end (started a new YT channel 2 weeks ago) - The lack of a screen cap button in the UI!!! Do they leave this out to push their Snagit product? Have I just learned wrong? If I want to quickly screen cap something - I can hotkey ctrl-F - but then I have to name it save it to windows - when I really want it to add it to my media in the existing project. Well I went back to the Windows update history and see that the last several versions have been released at the very end of April each year. I can upgrade from 2019 to 2021 (with a free 2022 upgrade) for $125.99 after trying every coupon code I could. Until apparently Camtasia 2020 which added Alpha channels. (I have Adobe CS6 but it's just soooo cumbersome to use).Īnyhow - I can do about 90% of what I need to do in Camtasia - it's that 10% that gets me. It's always been my go-to editor for it's streamlined interface - it's ease of use and being clutter-free.

I actually may have started on a torrented version to "test it out" (This is only colorful storytelling and probably not true).Īnyhow, I purchased Camtasia 2019 back in. Hello all - I've been on Camtasia since about 2009ish-2010ish.
